Myrtle Marie Vanhoose Fraley, 90 of Huntington, WV went to be with her Lord on Thursday January 27, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday  At 11:00 a.m. at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Greg Tomlinson officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born December 25, 1920 in Wayne, WV a daughter of the late Frank and Bertha Adkins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Delbert Vanhoose, Sr and Kalor Fraley; a son, Garry Vanhoose; a grandson, Darrell Lee Vanhoose; a sister Marie Clay and her grandfather who raised her, Rev. Elba Eplin. She was retired from the Cabell County Board of Education having spent her last 10 years as principle at Davis Creek Elementary. She was a member and former Sunday school teacher at Jefferson Avenue Church of God. She is survived by two sons, Darrell (Ella) Vanhoose and Delbert “Juny” Vanhoose and his wife, Penny of Huntington; grandchildren, Elizabeth Goff, Scott Dunfee, Lisa Gill, Sheila Hunt, Jerry Vanhoose and Dr. Tim (Lety) Vanhoose; several great grandchildren; a sister, Martha Beckett and a special caregiver, Eulaine Elkins. The family would like to thank the nurses at Hospice of Huntington for their care. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Jefferson Avenue Church of God Building Fund.
