Patricia Lou Somerville Shreve, 84 of Huntington, WV, died Sunday January 23, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Ron Burnsworth officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. She was born January 18, 1927 in Spencer, WV the daughter of the late Charles Andrew and Vida Grimm Somerville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Shreve; two daughters, Barbara Shreve Roberts and Julia Karen Shreve; a sister, Martha J. Somerville and two brothers, Robert S. Somerville and Charles J. Somerville. She attended schools in Charleston, WV and worked in U.S. Attorney’s office in Charleston and the Advertising Department of the Herald Dispatch. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Kay Herndon of Huntington; Melinda S. Patrick of Huntington and Melissa S. Boone and her husband, Scott of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Matthew and Jacob Roberts, Andrew Johnson, Emily Dawson, Marcus and Billy Patrick, Charles Herndon and Garrett Boone; four great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Martha Bryce Somerville, Houston. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Sandy and the staff at Heritage Center and to Hospice for their wonderful care of Patricia. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Huntington.
