Obituary

Brenda Fern Ramey
September 14, 1946 - March 14, 2009

Brenda Fern Hensley Ramey, 62, of Huntington, wife of 43 years of Pastor Fred Ramey, loving mother, devoted wife, and proud mamaw of seven, departed this life to be with her Heavenly Father, after a long illness, on March 14, 2009. II Timothy 4:6-8, For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday March 17, 2009, at the First Altizer Free Will Baptist Church, with Deacon Glen "Slats" Robertson and Deacon Gary Scarberry officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Brenda was born September 14, 1946 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel L. Hensley. She was a member of the First Altizer Free Will Baptist Church, a Sunday School teacher, 1965 Huntington East Graduate, and loved camping, Myrtle Beach, and dinners with her family. Additional survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Marla Ramey, and Scotty and Sarah Ramey, all of Huntington; one sister, seven grandchildren, two nieces, church family, and a host of other family and friends. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
