James Earl Chapman, 66, of Huntington, WV, died Sunday September 13, 2009 in Huntington Health & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral service will be conducted 12:30 PM Thursday September 17, 2009 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington by Rev. Mike Chapman. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Earl was born July 18, 1943 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Ada Booth Chapman & Frank Gibson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Jack & Butch Chapman, 2 nephews Mark & Ronnie Chapman and 1 grandson Ashton Chapman. Survivors include his wife Judith Stephens Chapman, 1 son & daughter-in-law Shawn Paul & Stephanie Chapman of Ona, 1 granddaughter Haylee Chapman, 2 brothers Bill Chapman & wife Imogene of Chesapeake, OH, Frankie Gibson of Huntington, beloved nephews Roger, Rodney, Mike & Justin Chapman, numerous great nieces & nephews. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday September 16, 2009.
