Ida Eves
(March 4, 1923 - June 22, 2010)



Mrs. Ida Frances Eves, 87, of Huntington, widow of Carl L. Eves, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11: 00 AM, Friday, June 25, 2010, in Ridgelawn Abbey, Ridgelawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Michael Chapman officiating, with burial to follow. She was born March 4, 1923, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Creth and Cecilia Sovine Chapman. She was a member of the former Southside United Methodist Church. She was a retired School Teacher, having taught at Merrits Creek and Highlawn Elementary Schools. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Chapman, and 2 brothers, Buck and Charles Chapman. Surviving are 2 daughters, Joy Pack, of Barboursville, and Cecilia Dolin, of Huntington; a brother, Donald Chapman, of Milton, WV; 4 sisters, Evelyn Pullen, Freeda Chapman, Dorothy Chapman, and Wanda Hensley, all of Milton; 5 grandchildren, Scott Dolin, Amanda Pack, Benjamin Dolin, Matthew Pack and Michael Pack; and 3 great grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family after 10:00 am, Friday June 25, 2010 at Ridgelawn Abbey.
