Obituary



Tammy L. Elkins Black, 55, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with her family and her "beloved husband, Lawrence (Rodney) Black", on Monday, August 31, 2015. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Elkins; sister, Barbara Elkins; and brother, Freddy Elkins. Survivors include: three brothers, Roger Elkins and Gary Elkins, both of Huntington and Bill "Joey" Elkins of Ironton, OH; and many nephews and nieces and friends. She will be missed, but never forgotten, and as she put it "will always be the brightest star in the Heavens." Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, September 4, 2015, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor James E. Wells officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Friday at Chapman's Mortuary.
