Patricia Jean Gleason "Pat" Alderman
(February 25, 1933 - February 19, 2015)



Patricia Jean Gleason “Pat” Alderman, 81, of Huntington, wife of Jack D. Alderman, went to be with her Lord, Thursday, February 19, 2015 from St. Mary’s Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 10:00 am Monday, February 23, 2015, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, with Father Paul Yuenger officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pat was born February 25, 1933 in Ashland, KY, a daughter of the late John and Margaret Bonfield Gleason. Other family preceding her in death were four sisters, Anna Nell Sagraves, Margaret “Louise” Johnston, Esther Brislin, and Mary Clifford; and two brothers, William J. Gleason and Eugene Gleason. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, had worked formerly for Kerr Glass, and retired from H & R Block as a tax preparer and office manager. In addition to her husband, survivors include her three daughters and a son-in-law, Marcella Pletka, Sallie and Joe Lazaro, and Tracie Murphy, all of Huntington; six grandchildren, Jaclyn Lazaro, Amanda Lazaro, Kathleen Pletka, Nicholas Pletka and their father, Charles S. Pletka, Megan Murphy, Patrick Murphy and their father, Herb Murphy; a sister and brother-in-law, Marcella and Philip Corkrean of Huntington; a special sister-in-law, Jean E. Gleason of Huntington; a sister-in-law, Lucille Alderman Fraley and her husband, Auburn, of Hot Springs, AK; and several special nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the American Lung Association or charity of one’s choice. Friends may visit the family 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday at Chapman’s Mortuary with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.
