Ray Wayne Adkins
(September 29, 1927 - July 17, 2015)


Ray Wayne Adkins, 87, of Wayne, WV, died Friday July 17, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Ray was born September 29, 1927 in Fullerton, KY, a son of the late Lonnie and Margarie Bentley Adkins. He was a U.S.Army Air Force and Marine Corps veteran serving in Korea. He retired from the South Western City School System, Columbus, OH, was a member of the Sand Hill Church of Christ, South Shore, KY and attended East Lynn Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosa Adkins, grandson Greg Springer and stepdaughter Barbara Lambert. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Timothy May of Wayne, four grandchildren, Anthony May of Wayne, Yvonne (James) Johnson, Myra (Steve) Cassel all of Columbus, OH, Richard (Angie) Lambert of Clinton, Miss., several great and great great grandchildren.
