Doloris Helen Leach Freeman
(June 29, 1937 - July 10, 2015)



Doloris Helen Leach Freeman, 78, of Huntington, widow of Jerry Dale Freeman, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015, in Memorial University Medical Center, Savannah, GA. Funeral service will be conducted 10:00 am Friday, July 10, 2015, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Jana Stoner officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. She was born June 29, 1937, in Scottown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Farley Albert and Helen Lewis Leach. She was a homemaker and a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. Her passion in life was to take care of her grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Mike Owens, and a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Leslie Freeman all of Huntington; 7 grandchildren, Philip and Kelly Owens, Christopher Owens, Bethany Freeman, Adelyn Freeman, Victoria Freeman, Alec Atha and Elise Atha; and a great-grandchild, Sydnee Earl. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ALS Foundation or Hospice of Huntington.
