Obituary

Lawrence Edward Casdorph
(August 11, 1941 - June 24, 2015)


Lawrence Edward Casdorph, 73, of Milton, husband of Cecilia F. Basham Casdorph, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born August 11, 1941, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Harry and Verna Haynes Casdorph. A daughter, Liela Irvin also preceded him in death. He was a retired water plant operator at the former F.M.C. plant in South Charleston, and a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Hurricane. Additional survivors include five daughters, Teresa Justice of Vinton, OH, Cathy Tincher of Milton, Melinda Summers of Hurricane, Melissa Steiner of Milton, and Julia Warden of Point Pleasant; a sister, Hazel Harmon of Charleston; two brothers, Harry Casdorph, Jr. of Charleston and Leonard Casdorph of Eleanor, WV; and 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. There will be no services at this time, and Chapman’s Mortuary is assisting the family.
