Mary Meadows Scott
(November 22, 1930 - June 20, 2015)

Mary Meadows Scott 84, of Huntington, widow of Paul Scott, Jr., passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Dr. Bill Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. She was born November 22, 1930, in Huntington, a daughter of the late James Lowell and Hattie Ellen Wyont Meadows. Three sisters, Kay, Mildred and Carrie Lou, and a brother, Claude also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, and a member of Beverly Hills United Methodist Church. Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Eric Browning of Stanley, NC; two sons, and their spouses, Edwin and Judy Scott of Wichita Falls, TX, and Alan Scott and Roberta Richards of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Casey and Devin Browning, Belinda and Jason Axe, Chris Scott, Daniel and Olivia Scott; two great-grandsons, Braden Axe, and Landon Scott; several nieces and nephews including Jack Meadows and his wife Sue. Friends may call one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
