Obituary

Mike Irby
(June 11, 1956 - May 8, 2015)



Mike Irby 58, of South Point, OH, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington, with Pastor Brad Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. He was born June 11, 1956, in Huntington, a son of the late Elmer A. Irby, Jr., and the late Esther Ruth Jones Irby. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jessica Nacole Irby, and his brother Al Irby,who also passed away on Friday. He was a member of Colegrove Memorial United Methodist Church and a construction laborer. Survivors include, his wife, Gaylynne Irby of South Point, OH; two daughters and a son-in-law, Amanda Leigh Irby of Colegrove, OH, and Ann Myriah and Adam Beck of St. Albans, WV; his soon to be born granddaughter, Aria Nacole Beck; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leigh and Walter Christian; of South Point, OH, and Suzanne and Merle Toumey of Seattle, WA; two uncles Jon and Margaret Irby and Jack Graham; a cousin Erma Jean Wellman; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
