Ancel Patton
(November 25, 1941 - May 21, 2015)


Ancel Patton, 73, of Huntington, WV, husband of Brenda G. Baker Patton, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born November 25, 1941, in David, KY, a son of the late Charles Langley Patton and Louellen Shepard Patton Hicks. He was a US Army Veteran, retired from ACF Industries and a member of the former Hand of God United Baptist Church. In addition to his wife survivors include, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles Langley Patton of Huntington and Jeffrey Dwayne Patton and wife, Dr. Anna Patton of Catlettsburg, KY; three grandchildren, who were the “Apple of his eye and his Little Angel Bugs”, Oliva, Connor, and Sophia Patton of Catlettsburg; and good friend and brother-in-law, Paul Baker and his wife, Hilda, of West Hamlin, WV. Graveside services, with Military Honors conducted by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16, will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, May 24, 2015, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, with Rev. Bill Spears officiating. Friends may visit the family 11:30-1:30 pm Sunday at Chapman’s Mortuary and a procession will leave the funeral home at 1:30 pm for the cemetery.
