Patricia Norris Ferrell
(June 13, 1946 - May 20, 2009)



Patricia Norris Swarthout Ferrell, 62, of Huntington, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington. A celebration of her life will be 1 pm Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Watters, Rev. Ray Miller and Pastor Fred Anderson officiating. Pat was born June 13, 1946 in Beckley, WV a daughter of the late Elmer Norris and Bell Daugherty Swarthout. She and her husband of 36 years, the late Terry E. Ferrell, were co-owners of Ferrell Mortuary for more than 21 years. She was a member of Marcum Chapter 8 Order of The Eastern Star and a Sunshine Girl. Survivors include two loving daughters, Terri Lyn Fullerton-Clark (Timothy) of Milton, WV and Pamela LaDawn Adams (Chris Watts) of Barboursville, WV; one sister, Dr. Clara S. Boland (Bob) of Missouri; eight grandchildren, Peyton, Daniel, Joshua, Jacob, Noah & Seth, Jessica and Carson Timothy; two nieces, Patricia Boland Blake (Ted) of North Carolina and Valarie Boland Blevins (Jake) of Colorado; special friends, Nettie Jackson, Gary, Mildred and Denise Beheler & family; four special adopted daughters and grandbabies she claimed as her own. She is also survived by a host of loving friends who will miss that playful greeting of “Hi Sunshine”. She was a loved and respected member of the community and had touched the lives of many throughout the years. Friends may gather to honor her memory from 6 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702.
