Richard later became a member of the Plumber and Steamfitters Union Local 521 and worked for Henderson Plumbing until retirement. He was a lifelong member of the Guyandotte Masonic Lodge. He spent many happy hours creating a legacy for his family through his oil paintings as his father, Melvin Booth, did years ago. He also enjoyed passing on the history of our area as a guide at the Heritage Farm. Richard is remembered by his wife of 28 years, Patty. He is also remembered by daughter, Lisa LaFon and husband, Larry; son, Adam Booth and wife Krista; step-daughter Lisa Tackett and husband Doug; step-son Rocky Crouch and wife Shelly and one brother David Booth. Richard will be missed by his adored grandchildren, Makena and Rylee Booth, Savanna and Troy LaFon, Raeanna and Todd Tackett, Sara Crouch and Brittany and Courtney Little. A funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, January 19 at Klingel-Carpenter by Dan Priest. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
