Obituary

Nancy Kaye Wheeler
(
October 19, 1942 - January 4, 2013)

An old headstone in Ireland says "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal." To all who knew NANCY WHEELER is the heartache that Nancy has died. And to all who loved Nancy has come great memories that nothing can steal. Nancy Wheeler of Huntington, W.Va., was born Oct. 19, 1942, and died on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013. Nancy was preceded in death by her father, John Sellards; and her husband, Wylie Wheeler. Nancy leaves behind her mother, Margarette Sellards of Huntington, W.Va.; and a sister, Cindy Bennett of Canton, Mich.; and many friends from the Huntington area. Nancy attended and graduated from Marshall University, where she was an active member of the Tri-Sigma Sorority. Nancy was also an active member of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church of Huntington, W.Va. In 1973, Nancy married Wylie Wheeler and moved to Ashland, Ky., and Louisville, Ky., where Nancy and Wylie owned and operated a successful carpet cleaning business until Mr. Wheeler's death. Nancy will be laid to rest next to her husband at Woodmere Memorial Park after funeral services at the Abbey of Remembrance, Woodmere Memorial Park, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan, 8, 2013. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the MS Society.
