Danny Lee Murphy
(June 8, 1949 - June 1, 2014)



Danny Lee Murphy, 64, of Huntington, passed away Sunday June 1, 2014 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV. He was born June 8, 1949 in Huntington, WV a son of the late William and Opal Daniels Murphy. He was a retired employee of Spurlock Dodge. Danny was a Veteran of the US Army and served in Viet Nam and a member of the American Legion Post 93 of Kenova. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge of Barboursville WV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Gay Gibson; brother Terry Murphy and two sisters Penny Kay Eastham and Barbara Gay Murphy. Danny leaves behind numerous friends and family members, including hi loving wife of 37 years Judy Murphy; two daughters and son in laws: Angel ( Dana) Nenni of Lesage, WV and Angie (Mel) Dickison of Ashland, KY; two sons and a daughter in law: Eddie (Amanda) Bowen of Huntington, WV and Tim Bowen of Cincinnati, Ohio six grandchildren Jacob Nenni, Ashleigh Nenni, Ericka Bowen, Leiah Bowen, Skylar Bowen and Makahy Bowen; brother Jeff Murphy of Huntington and three sisters and brothers in law Deanna and Delbert Simmons of Barboursville, Cheryl and Jim Thompson of Lavalette and Lana and Terry Marcum of Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 11 am until service time Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home. The American Legion Post 93 of Kenova will conduct military graveside rites.
