Charles Thomas Perkey
(July 5, 1947 - June 27, 2014)



Charles Thomas Perkey, 66 of Huntington,WV passed away, Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born July 5, 1947 in Cabell County, West Virginia, a son of the late Lawrence and Flora Hart Perkey. He was a plumber in the Maintence Dept. of Cabell Huntington Hospital and a member of the Local # 521 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, as well as a veteran of the US Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Robert Perkey. Mr. Perkey is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bonnie Rowe Perkey, one son Phillip (Michelle) Perkey of San Angelo, Texas, one daughter, Amanda (Wesley) Curnutte of Huntington, WV; four grandchildren: Jordan and Caleb Perkey and Rielley and Grant Curnutte; and one sister, Jo (Fred) Mellert also of Huntington, WV. Memorial services will be conducted t 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Spring Valley Freedom Baptist Church by Pastor Pat Elliott. Friends may visit from 4:00 until service time at the church. Military rites will be performed by the American Legion Post 93 of Kenova and the WV Honor Guard from Kingwood, WV. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
