Randy Allen Adkins
(May 5, 1953 - November 27, 2014)



Randy Allen Adkins, 61 of Branchland, WV passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday December 1, 2014 at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Minister Kenneth Ray Adkins. Burial will follow in the Jeffers Family Cemetery, Branchland, WV. Randy was born May 5, 1953 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Vinson and Reba Faye Davis Adkins. He was an orderly with St. Mary’s Medical Center and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Don Nathan Adkins and Tony Adkins and one sister Joy Elaine Biggs. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Sue Adkins, four sons: Randy Allen Adkins, Jr., Randy Allen Adkins II, Jon Howerton (Candace), Josh Howerton( Whitney), five daughters: Trina Townson, Andrea Adkins, Katie Adkins, Crystal Adkins and Brittany Adkins. In addition, nineteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, including one special great granddaughter, Desaree Lynn Adkins “Baby Cakes”, one brother Vinson Adkins, Jr., one brother-in-law Kenneth Ray Adkins (Janice) and five sisters: Gail Sue Giles, Sheilla G. Wallace, Sherry V. Schaeffer, Helen L. Frye, Macy N. Burgess and a host of nieces and nephews survive him as well. He also leaves behind close friends, Raymond Perkins, Rick Newton, Roy Lowe and Silas Jeffers, whom Randy helped to care for. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Reger Funeral Home and from Noon until service time at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
