Judith Kaye Smith
(April 14, 1948 - November 22, 2014)



Judith Kaye Smith, 66, of Huntington, passed away Saturday November 22, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Tom Nolan. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, WV. She was born June 14, 1948 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late James Rolly and Betty Evelyn Cassada Flowers. She was a retired engineering technician with the US Army Corps of Engineers and she was a member of the Mount Union United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Lee Smith and her companion of 23 years Freddie Pyles, Jr. Survivors include two sons and daughters in law Richard Anthony and Sarah Louise Smith and Christopher Scott and Lori Dawn Smith all of Huntington; four grandchildren Jacob Anthony Smith, Jennah Louise Smith, Lauren Elizabeth Smith and Ryan Richard Scott Smith; two brothers and sisters in law James W. and Rebecca Flowers and Richard Alan and Gerlinde Flowers all of Huntington; sister and brother in law Linda and James Bryant of Columbus, Ohio; several niece and nephews and her extended family Mike and Sherri Pyles and Steve and Lynn Pyles. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother who delighted in her beautiful grandchildren. Her family and home were her joy.
