Obituary

Jack Lowell Haynie
(May 22, 1934 - February 12, 2015)



Jack Lowell Haynie, 80, of Kenova, WV, husband of Bernice Walters Haynie, passed away Thursday February 12, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 PM Sunday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Greg Creasy, Michael Haynie and L.D. Riddle. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova. He was born May 22, 1934 in Wayne County, WV, a son of the late Samuel and Vivian Lee Saunders Haynie. He was a Captain in the US Army and a retired Hydraulic Engineer with the Huntington District Corps of Engineers. Additional survivors include two sons Michael B. Haynie (Bobbie) daughters Sarah and Sami of Harmony, PA. and Phillip B. Haynie (Traci) of Maryland; one daughter Belinda Haynie and children Levi Gilchrist and Bailey Gilchrist of Mount Morris, PA; two sisters Phyllis Peck (Ted) of Charleston, WV and Dotty Nease of Huntington, WV. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Huntington for all of their care and especially to Sandy Smith, L.P.N. with Hospice and all the other workers.
