Mary Lee Lyons
(October 8, 1930 - February 12, 2015)



Mary Lee Lyons, 84, of Lavalette, WV, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior at 7:10 am Thursday, February 12, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, with her family and longtime friend and caregiver, Dreama Darst, at her side. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Thom Malcolm, pastor of the Mount Union United Methodist Church, assisted by Pastor Corey Adkins, pastor of Reclaim Church of Barboursville. Burial will be in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. Mary Lee was born on October 8, 1930 in Kenova, WV, the daughter of the late Glen Sanford and Mary Mayo Norman. Mary Lee was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Juanita and David Foster, her brother and sister-in-law Joe and Jo Ann Norman and brother-in-law Glenn Kizzee. Mary Lee is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dennis Lyons, Sr., Her daughter and son-in-law Jenny and Dan Seibert and her son and daughter-in-law Joe and Leslie Lyons, her grandchildren that she loved dearly Brian Seibert, Meghan Stevens and her husband Jerry Stevens, Jacob Lyons and Jillian Lyons, her great granddaughter Avery Rose Stevens, sisters and a brother-in-law Margie Kizzee and Nancy and Bernard Riggs, many loving nieces and nephews and her best friend and caregiver, Dreama Darst. Mary Lee has been a faithful member of Mount Union United Methodist Church since 1956, where she has served in many offices, including church treasurer, president of the Women’s Society and Sunday School Secretary. She loved her church family and attended at every opportunity as long as she was able. One of her great joys was leading a ladies Bible Study for many years on every Tuesday morning. Mary Lee was Dennis’s high school and lifelong sweetheart. She graduated at Ceredo Kenova High School in 1948 and worked at the Banks Miller Supply Company until she started raising her family. Friends may call from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Home.
