Obituary



Rilda Lou Egan, 92, of Huntington, widow of Charles Robert Egan, passed away Thursday October 15, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Bill Blankenship. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova, WV. She was born March 11, 1923 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late General Lee and Mary Jackson Adkins. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by five brothers Carroll Adkins, Lee Adkins, Jr., Tillman Adkins, Herman Adkins and Hiram Adkins; three sisters Lola Dee Bowen, Charlotte Diamond and Hazel Leffler. Survivors include two sons and daughters in law Dick and Brenda Egan of Huntington and Ken and Darlene Egan of Barboursville; daughter and son in law Sharon and Steve Dunn of Lesage, WV; grandchildren Stacy (Barry) Wellman, Kimberly (Vic) Buzard, Matthew (Amber) Egan, Ryan Egan, Samuel Egan and Joshua Deeds; great grandchildren Creston Buzard, Billy Lewis, Weston Dunn, Grant Buzard, Isaac Buzard, Bailey Wellman, Tyler Wellman, Kentley Wellman, Jonah Egan, Elijah Egan, Joshua Deeds, Jackson Deeds, Jillian Deeds and Jacob Deeds; special sister in law Gladys Adkins of Titusville, Fla. and special brother in law James Diamond of Wheelersburg, Ohio. Friends may call from 1 pm until service time on Sunday at the Reger Funeral Home.
