Gary Ford Jackson
(March 12, 1950 - October 10, 2018)



Gary Ford Jackson, Sr., 68, of Huntington passed away October 10, 2018. He was born on March 12, 1950 to the late Ford Farley and Wanda Perry Jackson. Gary is also preceded in death by his late brother Roger Jackson. Gary Jackson graduated from Vinson High School in 1968. He worked for City Ice Company when he was 16 until it was bought by Home City Ice and has been employed with them since. Gary is survived by his wife of 44 years Darlene Jackson; his "two baby girls", Jennifer Jackson-Moore and Nancy Jackson-Dawson; a son, Gary Jackson, Jr. (his best friend) and another daughter, Shannon Jackson-Hale. His six grandchildren, Morgan Jackson, Tyler Meade, Nicole Jackson, Gary Jackson III, Jaxon Dawson, Damion Hale; and one great grandchild, Riley Meade, a.k.a. Pawpaw's Little Buddy; two sons-in-law, Tom Moore and Eddie Dawson. Gary is also survived by two brothers, Jim Jackson and Tommy Jackson; one sister, Joyce Jackson; a sister-in-law, Becky Jackson and several cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Five special nieces and nephews he thought of as his own, Angela Jackson, Steven Jackson, Michael Jackson, Christina Smith and Alisha Jackson-Newman. Gary had two special friends at Home City Ice, Jerry and Josh. Funeral services will be conducted by Celebrant Angela Jackson on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 11 AM at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Reger Funeral Home.
