STACEY E. JEFFREY
(January 6, 1926 - January 6, 2015)


STACEY E. JEFFREY, of Barboursville, W.Va., died Tuesday, January 6, 2015, on his 89th birthday, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Stacey was born January 6, 1926, and was the son of the late Millard Fillmore and Eula Dillon Jeffrey. He was predeceased by his brothers, Ray, Roy, Tom, Vivian, Paul, Charles and Leo and one sister, Evelyn Eden. He is survived by his wife Juanita Rimmer Jeffrey, his son Jim (Terry), and three grandchildren, J. Shane, Nicholas (Jamie) and Kara, and one great-granddaughter, Marlo Jeffrey, all of Barboursville. Stacey is also survived by one brother, Jack Jeffrey and many nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law. Stacey served in the U. S. Army stationed in England and Ft. Meade, Maryland. He was proud to have served his country. He retired from Southern States Cooperative, and previously worked at Star Furniture and Borden's. He was a member of Steele Memorial Methodist Church. Stacey was an avid reader, loved sports and watching television. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with the Rev. Dr. John Sauvage and the Rev. Ralph Sager officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Sarah Care of Barboursville, St. Mary's Medical Center and the Huntington Veterans Affairs Medical Center. A special thank you to the wonderful staff of Hospice of Huntington. Heaven must have a special place for hospice workers.
