ROBERT GLEN THOMPSON, 77, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, Pastor Jerry Galloway, officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. He was born August 2, 1937, in Fort Gay, W.Va., a son of the late Ercel and Ferbia Copley Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Lucas; one son, Gregory Allen Thompson; two granddaughters, Jaime and Heather Thompson; and three brothers, Annias Franklin Thompson, Jennings Milroy Thompson and Abner Odell Thompson. He is survived by three daughters, Diane (Jeff) Blankenship of Ashland, Kentucky, Connie Light of Smith Station, Alabama and Loretta (George) Fortner of Chesapeake, Ohio; four sons, Robert Thompson, Mark (Sonja) Thompson, Donald Thompson and James (Kendra) Thompson, all of Chesapeake, Ohio; his twin brother, Cecil (Wanda) Thompson of Fort Gay, W.Va.; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
