Bill B. Harbour
(November 9, 1934 - August 6, 2016)



Bill B. Harbour, age 81, of Huntington, WV, passed away August 6, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born November 9, 1934, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Worthy Byron Harbour and Hazel Young Harbour. He graduated from Marshall University in 1987 with a double major in English and Speech. Bill served as president of Sigma Delta Phi, Spanish honor fraternity while at Marshall. He later obtain a specialization in analytical chemistry. Bill worked for AEP for 37 ½ years and was responsible for all paint and corrosion maintenance and contract work for all plant facilities. He served as choir director, Board chairman, Sunday school teacher and usher at Trinity Church of God in Huntington. Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean Plank Harbour. He is survived by his children, Mark S. Harbour of Columbus, OH; and Kelli Bragg of Poca; his grandchildren, Danny Bragg (Bianca), Shawna Johnson (Jonathan), Savannah Harbour and Taylor Harbour; and his great grandchildren, Tatum, Rome, and Kennedy Jean Bragg, Jace and Jonathan Jake Johnson. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed his time and fellowship with his lifelong friends included in this was his dear friend Rev. James C. Burchett. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and above all, a God-fearing man. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Trinity Church of God, Huntington, by Rev. Ken Toler and Rev. James C. Burchett. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements.
