Obituary

Leona M. Gerlach left peacefully for her home in Heaven on Saturday, January 12, 2008.  Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Heron Adkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Baylous Cemetery.  Leona was born in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Charles and Zula Wyatt.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husbands, John Cremeans and Kenneth Gerlach and her loving daughter, Joan Wentz Crisel.  She is survived by three daughters, Margaret Nida, Jenny and Richard Brumfield, and Sonda and Henry Cardwell; seven grandchildren, Alan Nida, Byron Taylor, Curtis Wentz, Todd Wentz, Kim Oglesbee, Randy Cardwell and Greg Cardwell; nine great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren; one sister, Janice Bowen; one brother, Carroll Wyatt; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.  Leona was a member of the Church of Christ but she regularly attended Bride of Christ Church where she loved to go.  She was retired from Stationer’s.  Don’t greive for me for now I’m free I’m following the path God laid for me.  We love you Granny and we will miss you.
