Obituary

George Robert “Bob” Trumbo Jr., 88, of Huntington passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the VA Medical Center in Huntington. He was born on August 14, 1921 a son of the late George Sr. and Lydia Hayes Trumbo. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Carico Trumbo; one son, William Mark Trumbo and his wife Vickie of Huntington; one sister, Kay Stanley of Huntington; two grandsons, Stephen Mark and Michael Andrew Trumbo of Huntington; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, James Robert Trumbo; one brother, Bill Trumbo; and two sisters, Lois Wilisch and Georgia Trumbo. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of VFW Post 9738, Crossroads Baptist Church, and the Cabell-Wayne Association for the Blind. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington with pastor Jack Mayes officiating. Beard Mortuary is assisting the family.
