Lucille E. Parsley, 80 of Huntington, WV, passed away on Monday August 26, 2013 at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at New Baptist Church, 610 28th Street, Huntington, with Rev. Trent Eastham officiating. Burial will follow in Warfield Cemetery, Warfield, Ky. She was born April 3, 1933 in Nicholas County, WV the daughter of the late Millard and Ardie Hall Kirk. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, two daughters, Paulette Searls and Donna Sue Parsley, a grandson Don-Aaron Searls, six sisters and seven brothers. Lucille was a retired LPN at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was a member of New Baptist Church. She loved to play golf, snow ski and was a dedicated Marshall University fan. She is survived by a granddaughter, Heather Searls Stapleton and her husband, Chuck ; two great grandsons, Paul Michael Searls and Peter Andrew Stapleton all of Huntington; Special friends, Greg and Jackie Stillwell and Harry Palu and a host of nieces, nephews and church friends. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the New Baptist church Building Fund. The family will receive friends after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at New Baptist Church.
