      Obituary
    Timothy Clark Collins(March 10, 1953 ~ April 26, 2017)

 Timothy Clark Collins, 64, of
Huntington, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at his residence. Born
on March 10, 1953 in Huntington, he was a son of the late Roland Clark
Collins and Juanita Johnson Collins. Tim was a graduate of Barboursville
High School where he played on the football team and was state honorable
mention for 1971. Upon graduation, he was scouted by several different
colleges to play football, but after learning about the Marshall University
plane crash, Tim decided to attend Marshall and became #38 on the Young
Thundering Herd team. He retired from Santa Fe Railroad in Phoenix, Arizona,
and had a passion for music throughout most of his life. Those who were
close to Tim knew that he suffered with Parkinson’s disease, and playing
instruments such as the guitar, harmonica, piano and banjo was therapeutic
for him. Tim enjoyed hunting and trapping and had written articles that were
published in Trapper magazine. His latest endeavor was amateur bee keeping.
Tim always made an effort to watch the Herd on TV from the “M Club” with his
friend when he was able.  He is survived by his daughter, Cassandra Jane
Collins of Phoenix, AZ; his sister, Nancy Collins of New Concord, OH; his
niece, Christine Clark of Niles, OH, and his nephew, Benjamin Clark of TX. A
Celebration of Life Service will be held for Tim on Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. at
Beard Mortuary, Huntington. The family will welcome friends from 5:00-7:00
    P.M.
