Mary Margaret Waugh Rogers

Mary Margaret Waugh Rogers, 94, of Huntington, passed away on February 28, 2017 at Woodland’s Retirement Community. Born on February 4, 1923 in Huntington, she was a daughter of the late Esker Waugh and Catherine Devine Waugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ralph Eugene Rogers and her siblings, Charles “Winnie” Waugh, Dorothy Neal, Fran Mayes and Marty Mueller. Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America and the Donald Avenue Neighborhood Club. Mary loved playing bridge, her dogs, gardening, reading and making flower arrangements. She is survived by her children, Rick Rogers of Huntington, Jim (Amy) Rogers of Wayne, Becky (Mark) Rogers Summers of Cincinnati, OH, John (Verena Taylor) Rogers of Huntington, Bob Rogers of Huntington and Bill (Jane) Rogers of Huntington; sister, Betty Worrell of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Jill, Meg, Tom, Angela and Courtney; great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Robert, Bella, Grant and 2 great-great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Huntington, with Rev. Paul Yuenger and Monsignor Luciano, officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington. The family suggests making contributions in memory of Mary to a charity of your choice.
