ANNA LEE ABBAS
(October 21, 1935 - March 17, 2017)

ANNA LEE ABBAS, 81, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2017, at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Beard Mortuary with Pastor David Lemming officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. She was born October 21, 1935, in Evansville, Ind., the daughter of the late Roscoe and Kathleen Phillips Dougan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband in 1989, Dr. Jabir Abbas and a sister, Kathleen Killian. She was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. Anna was retired from Marshall University Medical School, Department of Surgery. She is survived by her children, Amina Abbas of Huntington and Sami Abbas of Barboursville, W.Va.; two nieces, Kathy (Rodney) Smith and Sherry (John) Fuhr of Dayton, Ohio; her precious fur baby, Sadie; several great-nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and co-workers. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary's Medical Center ER, MICU, 4th Floor and 6th Floor Med Surg Unit and to the staff at Hospice House for their excellent care of Anna. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Lewis Memorial Baptist Church or Hospice of Huntington. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Beard Mortuary.
