      Obituary
    Pearl Puckett Slone(October 4, 1925 ~ March 27, 2017)

 Pearl Puckett Slone, 91, of
Huntington, WV, went to be with her Lord on March 27, 2017. Born October 4,
1925 she was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Mae Thompson Puckett of
Hamlin, WV. Pearl was the devoted and loving wife of the late Buster “Bo”
Slone. She is survived by her five girls whom she loved very much, Linda,
Kaye, Debbie, Judy and Sheila. She loved her son-in-laws, Richard, Charlie,
Jimmy and the late Roger Burcham and Roger Smith. She appreciated everything
they did for her. Pearl was the beloved Mommaw of 7 grandchildren, Pam,
Sherry, Lisa, Kim, Roger, Heather and Charlene; fifteen great-grandchildren,
Kirsten, Suraiya, Devin, Mikayla, Kayla, Tripp, Chelsey, Joshua, Ciarra,
Cashius, Crystal, Robert, Jason, Brittany and Christina. To them, she was
Granny. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Harold and Darrel; one sister,
Anna Lee and many nieces and nephews. In her earlier years, she loved
shelling and spending time at the beach. She loved the Lord and was baptized
on July 3, 1994 in the Lower Mud River with many family and friends there to
witness. Pearl will be greatly missed by those that knew her and loved her.
We will forever be reminded of her in the sweetness of an apple, scarlet
kissed petals of roses in summer and the poinsettia of winter, the red
setting sun over a beach or a river, the wings of a cardinal or the tulips
of spring. For if you really knew her then you would know that anything red
was her thing. A Special thank you to Heartland of Riverview Nursing Home
and Hospice who took wonderful care of her and comforted her in her last
days. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, March 30,
2017 at Beard Mortuary in Huntington, with Dallas Moore, officiating. Burial
will follow at Maddox Swann Cemetery in West Hamlin. The family will welcome
friends one hour prior to the service.
