James Richard Wheeler

James Richard Wheeler, 76 of Huntington, WV, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017. He was the son of the late James F. Wheeler and Elliott Mae Hawes. He was a car enthusiast starting at the age of 15. He owned and operated the World of Wheels for 40 years. He made countless friends through the extended family of the World of Wheels. He retired with 30 years of service with White Way, Inc. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Johanna Sandifer Wheeler, a son and daughter-in-law, Jon C. and Crissy Wheeler; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn J. and Jerome Chadwell; a sister, Barbara Ann Tepe; grandchildren, Caitlin R. Wheeler, Madison Leigh Chadwell, Jordan C. Wheeler, and Justin and Kristin Batten. He is also survived by two nephews, John and Michael Tepe.  The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Kevin Yingling, Hospice of Huntington, and the doctors and nurses who helped him throughout the long journey of 17 years of dialysis. Private family services will be held at Ridgelawn Memorial Park with Pastor Larry Greene officiating.
