Charles Franklin "June" Henderson, 81, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, April 27, 2009, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 PM Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Richard Sexton and Dr. David B. Lemming officiating. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Christus Chapel, Barboursville, WV. He was born May 3, 1927 in Huntington a son of the late Elmer and Mary Virginia Long Henderson. A sister, Maxine Weekley, also preceded him in death. He was a retired employee of Sun Oil Company and was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church and a life member of VFW Post 9738, whose members will conduct military graveside rites. He was a member of Kenova Masonic Lodge #110 AF & AM and Beni Kedem Temple Shrine of Charleston. He and his wife also were members of Ballroom Dancing Clubs. Survivors include: his wife of 59 years, Myrna Mitchell Henderson; a daughter, Malana Henderson Turner of Westchester, OH; a brother, Frank Henderson of Barboursville, WV; and two grandchildren, Sidonie Turner and Katelyn Turner, both of Westchester.
