Ella Lucille Jarvis
(November 15, 1920 - November 18, 2009)



Ella Lucille Jarvis, 89, of Huntington, widow of Albert Junior Jarvis, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington, with Minister Barry Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery. She was born November 15, 1920, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Fred and Ella Dean Craft. A son, Verlin Leo Combs; a granddaughter, Linda Sue Combs; a daughter-in-law, Anna Sue Jarvis and a son-in-law, Herschel Lee Sowards, also preceded her in death. She retired from the housekeeping department for the former Radisson Hotel, and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. Survivors include; two daughters and a son-in-law, Clelia and Roger Carte of Barboursville, and Vivian Sowards of Lesage; a son and daughter-in-law, Jake and Nancy Jarvis of Huntington; a daughter-in-law, Doris Combs also of Huntington; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
