Charles Richard “Rick” Adams, 64, of South Point, OH, formerly of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Rick was born November 29, 1947 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Charles Edward and Dorothy Rutter Adams. He was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways and was a member of the Second Guyandotte Baptist Church. Rick adored his grandchildren; enjoyed golfing, when he was able; and was a true lover of dogs. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Toma Sue Geer Adams; two sons and their families, Marc Richard Adams, his wife Amy, and their children, Andrew “Drew” Adams, Jacob “Jake” Adams, and Molly Adams and Brian Patrick Adams and his companion, Lesa, and her children, Brandon and Breanna, all of South Point, OH; his beloved dog, Tucker; and many special friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary.
