Betty Ann Keffer Pennington

Betty Ann Keffer Pennington, 81, of Huntington, WV, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior, Tuesday January 31, 2012 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday February 3, 2012 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Dr. David B. Lemming officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Betty was born March 9, 1930 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late James D. & Lucille Conley Keffer. She was retired from Stone & Thomas Department Store and was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph Allen “Rudy” Pennington and a daughter Sherry Lynne Shumaker. Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law Barbara P. & Jim Gibson of Nashville, TN, two grandchildren Charley Shumaker III and wife Kari of Huntington, Elizabeth Shumaker Hensley & husband Michael of Ashland, KY, three great grandchildren Allen & Megan Shumaker & Annabella Hensley, two brothers James Keffer, Jr & wife Diane of Ironton, OH, William Keffer & wife Shirley of Chattanooga, TN, and a brother-in-law Don Pennington of Detroit, MI. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary after 1:00 PM until service time on Friday.
