William L. Barrett, 68, of Huntington, who lost his wife, Bonnie Jane Barrett, on January 3, 2012, passed away Thursday January 19, 2012 at his residence. He was born January 25, 1943 in Huntington, WV, a son late James Black and Olive Null Black. A son, Gregory L. Barrett and a grandson, Chadwick Barrett, also preceded Bill in death. He was an electrician having retired from Huntington Alloys and formerly had his own business, Barrett’s Electric. He was an avid bowler, loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Barrett of Proctorville, OH; two grandchildren, Tonya Dean and her husband, Stacy Dean of Proctorville, and Shane Allen Barrett of Milton, WV; and two great grandchildren, Baileigh Cheyenne Dean and Brayden Dwayne Chadwick Dean, both of Proctorville. Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 PM Monday January 23, 2012 at Chapman’s Mortuary with Dr. David B. Lemming, and Pastor Bill Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may visit after 2:00 PM Monday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
