Sandra Delores Dunkle, 70, of Ashton, WV, passed away after a short illness Monday, January 30, 2012 in Saint Mary’s Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late John M. and Margaret Brumfield Sanns. She is survived by her husband, Donald Dunkle of Ashton, WV; a daughter, Cindy Herrera of Ona, WV; two grandchildren, Micah Hosey-Duffer and her husband, David L. Duffer, Jr, and John Scott Herrera, Jr. She was a retired RN from the Mildred Mitchell Bateman Hospital, and graduated with a BSN from the Marshall School of Nursing. She was also a member of the Elmwood Baptist Church. Additional survivors include, special friends, Geetha Subramaniam of Washington, DC, Doris Jean Meade, Phyllis Burton, Barbara Blankenship, Barbara and Donnie Bell, Gary and Mary Meadows, David and Darlene Adams, Ada Oxley, Jewell Saunders, Bernice and Edsel Rollyson, Charlie and Libby Perry, Glen and Carol Merritt, Mickey and Angie Garrett, and a all of her church family as well as a host of other family members. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 pm Friday, February 3, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Pastor Rick Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbottom Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the funeral home.
