Obituary



Harry P. "Grumpy" LeVine, 92, of Barboursville, husband of Loretta Page LeVine, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Gregory Francis officiating. Entombment will follow in the Christus Chapel at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, with VFW Post 93 Kenova conducting Military Graveside Rites. He was born August 7, 1923, in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Edward S. and Georgetta Bowye LeVine. Four siblings also preceded him in death. He was a US Navy veteran, retired from ACF Industries, was a member of VFW Post 1064 Huntington, and the American Legion Post 177 Barboursville. Survivors in addition to his wife include: one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann and Patrick Russell of St. Albans, WV; one grandson and his wife, John David and Robin Francis of Kenova, WV; two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Justin Francis; great-greatgrandchild, Cheyenne Francis; one brother, Jack LeVine; a special niece and her husband, Joanie and Joe Jasionowski, of NJ, two special great-nieces, Lori Jasionowski, and Jennifer and Dennis Danforth; special great-nephew and his wife Glen and Marie Jasionowski all of NJ. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
