Obituary
Mrs. Rebecca
Lynn Ferguson-Morrison of
Huntington went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 26, 2016. Mrs. Morrison
was born July 4, 1960, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Lawarence and
Sylvia Ferguson, who lovingly referred to her as their little firecracker.
Becky was a 1979 graduate of Barboursville High School. She was employed by
Corbins in Kentucky for 26 years and later by the Cabell County Board of
Education where she enjoyed working with special needs kids. Becky was a
fun, outgoing, and loving mother, sister, and friend. Before her illness,
she was an active member of First Huntington Christian Baptist Church,
serving as choir leader, teacher, and soloist. From singing with her dad at
the age of two, to taking trips on the back of her husband's motorcycle, to
dressing in outrageous outfits for Halloween, Becky enjoyed life. Her
greatest love, however, was for her children whom she cherished. Through
good times and bad, she loved them with all her heart. They are now her
legacy, the part of her that will live on, taking her with them wherever
they go in life. Preceding her in death is her husband, Marvin Gregory
Morrison of Huntington, one brother, Richard "Dickie" Ferguson and one
sister, Barbara Ferguson-Boster, both of Huntington. She is survived by two
children, Sylvia Melissa and Gregory Lawarence Morrison of Huntington, two
granddaughters, Mackenzie Dawn and Kelsie Lynn Rowe of South Point, one
brother, Ronnie Ferguson and his wife Kathie of Huntington, two sisters,
Judy Gue of Salt Rock and Carolyn Conrad of Lesage, one sister-in-law,
Jackie Ferguson of Huntington, wonderful in-laws, and a host of family and
friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 28, at First
Huntington Christian Baptist Church in Huntington. Friends and family
visitation is at 11:00 am with the service starting at 11:30 am.
