Carolyn "Tootie" Shuff


Carolyn "Tootie" Shuff, 90, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. She was born April 4, 1930 in Brookville, IN a daughter of the late Harold and Lora Clark Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth James Shuff; a son-in-law, Raymond Stewart; and a grandson, Barry Stewart. She was a graduate of Barboursville High School, where she was a majorette and a cheerleader. Survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Danelle G. Stewart of Huntington and Kimberly R. and Jerrold Griffin of Bainbridge, GA; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Scott and Cheryl L. Shuff of Proctorville, OH; four grandchildren, Melissa (Tommy) Berstler of Middletown, PA, Elijah Shuff (Mikaela Rice) of Richmond, VA, Nikki Sherrod of Mount Dora, FL, and Lindsey (Richie) Singer of Proctorville; six great grandchildren, Kaleb Crews, Mallory Sherrod, Mila Berstler, Maddox Berstler, Trey Singer, and Tyson Singer; a special cousin, Yvonne Reba Kincaid of Huntington; a special person that was like a daughter, Tammy Pardue Doss of Huntington; and a host of family and friends who loved her. A Celebration of Life service will take place from noon until 2:00 pm Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Charles Mays speaking at 1:30 pm. Please honor social distancing at the funeral home.
