Obituary



Donald E. Henderson, 87, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with his Lord on January 13, 2021. Don was born in Cabell County, WV, on April 21, 1933. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sally, two sons, Don and Bryan (Nina), and one daughter, Tami Jackson, sister, Dorothy King, along with 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Don retired from Huntington Alloy where he served as an inspector for many years. He was the bass singer for the Noblemen gospel quartet and faithfully sang in his church's choir at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. His passions included gardening, woodworking, reading, and taking walks to the Ohio River. Don loved His Savior, his wife, his family, and had a heart for serving and encouraging others. He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and his son-in-law. A celebration of life will be held at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, 1:00 pm Monday, January 25, 2021, with Dr. David B. Lemming and Pastor Tim Yates officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens with military honors by Veterans Honor Guard, Post 16, Huntington. Friends may visit family after noon on Monday until service time at the church.
