Obituary

Bernice Eloise (Reed) Perry, 96, of Rockledge, FL, died peacefully Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Eloise was born February 12, 1924 in Williamson, WV, a daughter of the late Abel and Norma Harris Reed. Raised in Barboursville, Eloise spent most of her life in and around Huntington to stay in close contact with her large family. She was beloved for her bright smile, true elegance, loving heart, and deeply spiritual faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Perry, and our hearts are full knowing she is reunited with him in the gentle arms of the Lord. Survivors include her daughter, Linda P. Nicholas and her husband, Robert, of Riverview, FL; two grandchildren, Margaret N. Pennell and her husband, Rhett, of Boynton Beach, FL; Robert J. Nicholas and his wife Elizabeth, of Valrico, FL; and two great-grandchildren, Marea J. Pennell and Emerson A. Nicholas. She was adored by her extensive extended family and loved them all as her own. She will be laid to rest privately at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, with a celebration of life to be held in the future. Eloise will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and fondly remembered for the light she brought to the world. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
