Obituary


Robert P. "Bob" Swann, 89, of Huntington, WV, died Thursday June 24, 2021 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday June 27, 2021 at Crossroads United Methodist Church with Dr. Bill Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park on Tuesday June 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Bob was born November 18, 1931 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Paul Austin and Arlena Barbour Swann. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and was owner and operator of Installation Service and Sales, a member of the I.O.O.F. and attended Crossroads and Beverly Hills United Methodist Churches. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Twyla Browning. Survivors include his wife Mary Lou Nelson Swann, two sons, Kelly Swann of Huntington and Kyle Swann of Hartford CT, three grandchildren, a niece Robin Walton of Huntington and all of his loving neighbors. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Sunday June 27, 2021 at Crossroads United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Beverly Hills Prayer Shaw Ministry. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
