Obituary

 Ruth Ellen Kendall, 86, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 2, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Iver Ove and Julia Saloma Anderson, of Alameda, CA. She was born May 31, 1921, in Alameda, CA and was preceded in death by her husband, James Hubert Kendall and her son, Donald Owen Kendall, one sister, Christine Hodges, and one brother, Bruce Anderson. She is survived by one sister, Pat (Joe) Owen, of Alameda, CA; one son, Richard (Mindy) Kendall, of Buffalo, WY; a daughter-in-law, Carla Kendall, of St. Augustine, FL; two daughters, Diana (Bernard) McCarty of Antioch, TN, and Ellen (Steve) Hatcher, of Huntington. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: April (John) Baumgardner; Heather (Mark) Sanford; Holly (Bob) Moulan; Alex Kendall; Lee Anne (Ryan) Sanford; Julia McCarty; Rachel (Bob) Luther; Jim Hatcher; and Katrina Hatcher. She was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren, Ryan Baumgardner, Grace and Torrey Sanford, Andrew Kendall-Moulan, Victoria Moulan, Jillian and Carly Kendall, and Anneliese Luther. She was a veteran of World War II where she served in the United States Navy. She was a member of the Pea Ridge Baptist Church where she was blessed with many friends who provided her with assistance in a multitude of ways, of which she was deeply grateful. Reverend Greg Creasy will conduct a memorial service at Pea Ridge Baptist Church, Monday, January 7, 2008 at 1:00 pm.
