Theresa Beatrice White
(August 20, 1924 - June 21, 2009)

Theresa B. White went home to be with the Lord on June 21, 2009 at Heritage Genesis Healthcare.

She was born August 20, 1924 at the Barnett Hospital in Cabell County. She is the daughter of the late Frank Sr. and Virginia Rainey White and was a sister to Frank White Jr.

She went to school at St. Mary’s Hospital for Surgical Technician, where she graduated and worked at Cabell Huntington Hospital, in surgery with many doctors, one of her favorites was Dr. Gary Gilbert. She was employed from May 22, 1967 until her retirement in good standing September 8, 1989 after 22 years of service.

She became a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church March 11, 1984, where she was a very faithful member. If anything was going on at the church, she was always right there, she worked diligently until her health failed. She was a member of the Pastor Aid, Usher Board, Chairperson of the Nurses Board, Church Aide Club and a Faithful member of the Sunday School. Her favorite song was, He Knows how much we can Bear, and her favorite scripture was Psalm 34.

She leaves to cherish her memories her cousins, Sonia Lindsey and Michael & Jo Farrow of Huntington, Mark & Danielle Hopson of Virginia, Jerome & Rita Bradburn of Burlington, Thomasine Walker of New Mexico and Ralph Farrow of Indiana.

Some very special friends Barbara & Joe Watkins, Freddie & Wanda Waiters, Char Garbesi, Jo Farrow, Brenda Layne, Geneova Lawson, Beatrice Nellons, Sonia Waldon, Tonia Paige, Olivia Camp, Josette Hill and many others. They all loved and cared for her, she will be missed, especially by her Pastor Reginald Hill.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1757 10th Ave. Huntington with Rev. Regional Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
