Obituary

NILE EDWARD NOWLIN "Pa", 84, of Lesage, went to his heavenly palace on September 7, 2004. He was at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday at Z Warner Methodist Church, where he spent many years as a member. Rev. Jerry Ryder will be officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Nile was born on July 10, 1920, in Cabell County, to the late Amos Hooper Nowlin and Etcel Simpson Nowlin. He was preceded in death by his adoring wife and soul mate, Audrey Freeman Nowlin and two precious great-granddaughters, Mckenna and Audrey Nowlin. He is survived by his one sister, Euda Moore of Ona; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Ron Martz of Richmond, Va., and Dagnya and James R. White of Lesage; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Debora Nowlin of Ona; six grandchildren, who will serve as pallbearers, Chris Woodrum, Jason Woodrum, Rachael Davis, Lea Ann White, Sean Nowlin and Kevin Nowlin; seven great-grandchildren, Heather Woodrum, Hannah and Riley Woodrum, Madison Davis, Audrey Ann White and Logan and Emma Nowlin. Nile served in World War II and retired from Houdaille Industries. He was a strong and courageous man who loved his wife and family. Though he may be gone from us today, he will live in our hearts forever. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2004, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton and one hour before service at the church.
